Virtual Energy Exports Conference 2020

About the event

The Virtual Energy Exports Conference (vEEC) is a major international energy industry event running for the second year, aimed at supporting the UK energy  supply chain to export its products, services and expertise into global markets.

The event is expected to attract delegations from around the world. Attendance is free and there will be two themes to the event: 
 

  • Growing Export & Trade (GET): This stream features expert guidance for those new to exporting who want to find out how to get started on their export journey or what markets they should target.
     
  • Global Opportunities (GO): This stream will include global delegations and presentations from leading EPC contractors and operators working on current and future energy projects, showcasing the opportunities available to the supply chain and explaining how suppliers can start engaging with these.

The Department for International Trade (DIT) will have a number of sessions taking place across the conference to promote exporting and investing in the UK’s products and services, as well as offering advice and facilitating meetings to UK companies at the conference.

Exhibition Stand

DIT will be hosting a stand in the virtual exhibition area promoting the services available for UK businesses as well as drop-in 1-2-1 meetings. DIT sector experts will be available from the oil and gas, renewables and Export Control teams, as well as experts from UK Export Finance, with the aim of providing UK companies an space to discuss opportunities or to get advice directly from the representatives.

 

1-2-1 Meetings

Should you wish to arrange a 1-2-1 meeting with the DIT specialist team, Export Control, UK Export Finance and/or International Trade Advisors, this can be done through the online booking link which will be sent to you upon registering for the vEEC conference. Alternatively, some DIT representatives will be available for adhoc drop-in meetings on the virtual DIT stand.

In addition to being available for 1-2-1 meetings, there will be a variety of DIT and UKEF staff speaking across the conference.

Join the Export Champion Community

The Exporting is GREAT campaign is looking for UK companies that sell internationally to sign up to be Export Advocates and join the Export Champion Community.

The members of the community form a network of like-minded exporters who share inspiration and advice.

DIT works to share the success stories of our Export Advocates through its national network, which includes regional and national press. The objective is to spread the message ‘If we can, you can’ and encourage more companies to start selling internationally.

Great.gov.uk contains key information for businesses looking to increase their exports. It brings together exporting, guidance and services from across government and contains a list of thousands of live export opportunities across a range of sectors. It also provides advice on how UK businesses can get export funding and attend relevant export related events.
