Event Overview

Global Offshore Wind is the leading annual global offshore wind conference and exhibition in the UK, and with 150 exhibitors, 3000 attendees, and industry visitors from over 40 countries, it is the perfect opportunity for your company to demonstrate its capability and innovation.

As a world leader in offshore wind, the UK has significant strengths to support the development of projects in markets across the globe. Global Offshore Wind 2019 gives the UK a platform to showcase and raise its profile to a global audience. Join DIT at the exhibition and engage in our specialist meet-the-buyer programme which will provide UK companies in the Offshore Wind and Renewables sector with the opportunity to meet Sector Specialists and Trade Advisors from around DIT's global network.

The UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) continues to support the growth of the world's largest offshore wind market through investment and export promotion. During Global Offshore Wind 2019, UK based companies will have the opportunity to network with a large global audience, learn how to win, fulfil and get paid for contracts with UK Export Finance, understand overseas opportunities and hear about current overseas policy.

Sector Overview

The UK has the largest installed offshore wind capacity in the world with 7.9GW currently operational, and an industry ambition to deliver 30GW by 2030. As a result of this rapid, large-scale deployment, the UK has developed world-leading expertise in all areas of offshore windfarm design, development, installation, and operations & maintenance.  This expertise is supported by an ever-increasing supply chain that offers high quality, cost-competitive components and services.

The UK Industrial Strategy, Offshore Wind Sector Deal was launched in March this year, and has among its ambitions, to increase UK content to 60 per cent; increase representation of women in the workforce to at least a third; and to increase exports fivefold to £2.6bn, all by 2030.  DIT’s global network wants to help your business become a part of these ambitions.
