About the event
Qatar is preparing to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the first major football tournament to be held in the region. The event will see teams from all over the globe travel to participate in the biggest tournament on the world’s football calendar. Qatar is looking to use its role as hosts of the event to develop its sports economy, as well as developing the opportunity to host further major events.
UK companies involved in the delivery of major sporting events are invited to join a DIT trade mission to Qatar on the 12th & 13th February 2020. Participants will benefit from enhanced exposure to export business opportunities around the 2022 World Cup and Qatar’s desire to develop its sports economy and role as hosts of future major events.
During this two-day trade mission, the UK delegation will meet relevant stakeholders in Doha looking to procure products and services to ensure the successful delivery of the FIFA World Cup as well as other opportunities across the major events, security, and sports sectors.
Participants will benefit from:
- Enhanced exposure to export business opportunities stemming from Qatar's role as hosts of the 2022 FIFA World Cup
- Access to DIT contacts identified by DIT global network through structured meetings/briefings
- Access industry leaders and key event stakeholders through DIT
- Being part of large cross-sector UK contingent working toegther to deliver business success.
The participation fee is £525pp + VAT. Upon approval of your registration, you will be invoiced for this fee. Please note all travel costs including visas, flights, accomodation, all internal travel within Qatar and food are not included in the programme, must be covered by the delegate.
Due to high interest in this mission, places are limited, and will be allocated on a first come first serve bases. We reserve the right to select those companies most suitable for this particular mission. Assistance will be available to all applicants, whether or not they are selected, to help them pursue opportunities in this market.
