About Event

The Department for International Trade (DIT) and British Water (BW) invite you to our webinar on India’s water market where we will explore opportunities for UK companies. You will hear from EA Water, India’s leading water knowledge solutions provider about recent developments in the sector, emerging business opportunities and investments including Larsen & Toubro, a leading technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services conglomerate who will brief UK companies on their current & upcoming water projects and what is required from UK businesses to collaborate.

The Indian government has initiated an ambitious project of ensuring piped water supply to all Indian households by 2024, a huge £76 billion initiative. Consequently, wastewater recycling and water conservation will receive notable investment from the government and private sector in India – a push for improved water management in India. Desalination, leakage reduction, decentralized sewage treatment plants, industrial water and wastewater management are other emerging areas creating opportunities for UK innovation and expertise.

The UK government is also keen to offer a full range of support through UK Export Finance, the UK’s export credit agency. UKEF has over £4 billion to support UK companies exporting to India
