UK Future Manufacturing Mission to Turkey

The Department for International Trade (DIT) and UK Science and Innovation Network (SIN) are delighted to invite you to join the UK Future Manufacturing mission to Turkey, to meet with key industry and academia representatives in Istanbul and Kocaeli, to showcase your technology and discover opportunities in Turkey at the UK Technology Conference 2020 in Istanbul.

Why attend?

Turkey aims to strengthen the Turkish industry’s digital transformation process and invest ca £2bn annually to incorporate advanced digital technologies to manufacturing processes by adopting Industry 4.0 in order to transform production. 50% of the manufacturers in Turkey are planning to apply advanced digital technologies in manufacturing processes within the next 3 to 5 years.

The mission will provide the opportunity to exhibit and pitch at the UK Technology Conference 2020 in Istanbul, organized by DIT & SIN, which will bring together leaders from business, government and academia; host a series of exclusive keynotes and panel discussions in different sectors including future manufacturing.

Additionally, the mission members will be able to showcase their technology, identify opportunities, meet with key players to explore areas of collaboration in the manufacturing industry in two main industrial cities; Istanbul and Kocaeli, likely to be the first to adopt digital transformation and utilise it in industrial operations.

Who should attend?

The mission will be of particular interest for companies, universities and research centres specialized in: innovative materials, additive manufacturing, industrial automation, IoT/Big data, robotics, augmented and virtual reality.
