The British Consulate New York and the UK’s Department for International Trade are proud to announce the UK’s LGBTQ Founders’ Trade Mission to New York, 26 June - 28 June 2019.

This Mission aims to accelerate growth for LGBTQ founders of UK-headquartered companies via a 3-day program with networking events, roundtable discussions, knowledge seminars, and introductions to prominent business leaders, investors, and other LGBTQ entrepreneurs in NYC eager to share their success stories. This mission constitutes the British Government’s first ever LGBTQ founders trade mission and will include participation in World Pride, which will be taking place in New York City on June 30th.

Trade Missions have seen companies successfully open New York offices, secure venture capital funding, develop new networks, and generate new US business and investment leads.

Ideal candidates are LGBTQ founders of UK-headquartered companies who:

  • have significant market traction in the UK with globally recognizable clients and/or venture capital funding
  • have existing US clients
  • are actively entering the US market and have a New York market ready product or service
  • are specifically interested in developing business networks in New York City

To help us qualify applicants for the Mission and to tailor a high impact programme, please fill in the application as completely as possible. All information will be kept strictly confidential. The deadline to apply is 24 April 2019. Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance onto the Mission shortly after the deadline.

For info: Applicants that are accepted to attend the mission will be required to pay a fee of £500 + VAT, which will cover the cost of programming and events during the mission. Flights and accommodation for attendees will be covered by the mission attendees.
