Join the UK’s Department for International Trade team in San Francisco for an Immersive Advertising Trade Mission to San Francisco/Silicon Valley from October 1st-2nd 2019.

This market visit offers British businesses the opportunity to explore the Bay Area's unique creative and media sector. The goal is to discuss innovation and business models in immersive technology spaces and to exchange ideas with leaders pioneering and pushing forward immersive use in experiential marketing and brand advertising.

We are currently recruiting companies to register their interest to join us for 2-day programme of networking events and more! This mission will help UK companies sell into US companies, develop US expansion strategies, and network with high-level executives.

What to Expect on the 2019 Immersive Trade Mission to San Francisco/Silicon Valley:

• Pre-mission briefing prior to departure
• Network with and present your company to senior executives in tech, VR/AR
• Take part in the 1st Annual DIT Advertising Breakfast event: Hear in-market innovation leaders on how transformative technologies are changing the advertising industry. Network with agency executives representing Silicon Valley tech brands about current needs on marketing initiatives.
• Learn from industry insiders about doing business in San Francisco/Silicon Valley
• Company profile featured in mission brochure circulated to US companies
• Increase your company’s brand awareness in the US industry
• Access to Red Arrows US Tour events including a cross-industry reception with San Francisco Bay area tech leaders
• This mission takes place in the margins of TechCrunch’s 2019 Disrupt Conference. Tickets to attend are not included. 


Mission Costs and Deadlines:

• Cost of attendance is £770 per person 
• Applications start date: Wednesday, July 24, 2019
• To be eligible, applications must be received before Wednesday August 7, 2019
• Accepted delegates will be notified on Monday August 12, 2019
• Acceptance is non-transferable
• Cost does not include airfare, accommodations, nor Disrupt SF conference tickets which are the sole responsibility of the attendee.

Tuesday 1 October 2019 | Immersive Visit Programme & Red Arrows reception
On Tuesday the delegation will meet with companies pioneering advances in immersive technologies, particularly in areas of platforms and innovative content experiences for brands and storytelling. Meeting outreach is ongoing. Updates to be provided. The day will end with a invite-only DIT private reception featuring the Red Arrows amidst their West Coast tour. Invitees will include Silicon Valley thought leaders and tech companies including those looking to fill designated marketing needs. 

Wednesday 2 October 2019 | Ad Agency breakfast & 1-2-1 sessions
On Wednesday the trade mission will dedicate time to immersive advertising: kicking off with an Advertising Breakfast with a panel of industry leaders speaking about the future of immersive advertising. Following the panel will be an opportunity for dedicated one-to-one meetings facilitated in advance by DIT SF for registered UK companies.

Thursday 3 October - Friday 4 October 2019 |Disrupt (OPTIONAL)
On Thursday and Friday, delegates have the opportunity to attend TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco. Conference speakers include CEO of OpenAI Sam Altman, YouTube's Chief Product Officer Neal Mohan, Evan Spiegel of Snap Inc., and many others. Disrupt SF conference registration is a separate cost not covered by DIT trade mission fees.
