Business' vital role in building a sustainable future.

The British Embassy Vienna and the UK’s Department for International Trade cordially invite you to a film screening evening at the Residence of the British Ambassador to Austria.

Her Majesty’s Government has made a significant new environmental commitment. A world-leading legally binding target, requiring the UK to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions from across our economy by 2050, will bring an end to the UK’s contribution to global warming.

Our keynote speaker, Lisa Simon, Project Manager Climate & Sustainable Business Engagement of WWF Austria will highlight the inspiration behind the film “Our Planet: Our Business”, a four-year collaboration between Netflix, UK based film production company Silverback Films and the WWF.

Join us to hear about the importance of building a sustainable and carbon-free future, where private enterprise will play a leading role in the innovation, recovery and restoration needed to avoid environmental collapse.

Wherever you work, whatever sector you work in, you can make a difference by embracing clean technologies, reducing our impact on land, respecting the ocean as a resource that belongs to us all, eliminating waste as far as possible and reinventing the model of ‘business as usual’.

This event is also an opportunity to find out more about the largest multifaceted sustainability programme 'Sustainable Fast Track UK' in Europe. Through this programme businesses, focusing on suitability will be able to expand globally through exclusive support from the Department for International Trade (DIT). This could also fast-track the entrance of businesses to African markets.

Save-the-date to join us for an evening of discussions around the key issues that are pushing planetary boundaries to their limits and what businesses can do to reverse those trends.

Participation is free of charge. Registration required as spaces are strictly limited. Pre-registration open now.
