Love is Love

Virtual Pride Campaign

Like many of you, the cancellation of Pride parades and activities in the US, UK and around the world has left us longing for the day in the near future when we can once again gather safely to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. As one of the first foreign governments to participate in Pride activities throughout the United States, Pride Month is just one of the many examples where our common values reinforce the strength of the US-UK relationship.

In the meantime, the British Government is excited to announce the launch of the “Love is Love Virtual Pride Campaign”, which will take place during Pride Month on 15 June and continue through to mid-July. Over the coming weeks, the British Government will partner with some of the most prominent LGBTQ-friendly organisations and institutions across the United States to organise virtual activities and discussions featuring a diverse and inclusive range of prominent US and UK LGBTQ+ voices. Each virtual event will cover a number of different themes and issues impact the LGBTQ+ community, elevating voices and highlighting common perspectives across the Atlantic on how all of us can build a more inclusive and equitable world.
