About the event
The British High Commission in India is organising a virtual Bootcamp for Indian Women Entrepreneurs in Fintech on 17th and 18th of March 2021. The event is being held in partnership with Barclays, who will support us in this journey to help participants gain knowledge and upgrade their skill in the Fintech landscape.
The two days bootcamp will give you an opportunity to E-network with peers and discover best practices and success stories from the sector. It is also an opportunity to learn about the UK Fintech landscape and explore potential overseas market opportunities.
Sessions on a range of topics by subject matter experts include:
- Women in Fintech – India perspective
- How to build a company from scratch
- Success stories from Women Fintech Entrepreneurs
- Interactive sessions on Fintech State perspective with senior government officials and British Deputy High Commissioners
- Significance of diversity and mentorship in Fintech ecosystem
- Building banking relation
- Cloud scaling and fund raising techniques
- UK Fintech market overview and possible opportunities oversees
Key takeaways for participants:
The virtual fintech bootcamp for Women will help participants gain knowledge, upgrade their skills and understand the Fintech ecosystem in India. It will also help in gaining insights from across the country and state perspectives from senior government / private sector officials.
It will enable early/mid stage Fintech start-ups to develop a better understanding of the domain and make the right choices - be it company development, product launch, fundraising or even looking for a market oversees. During the bootcamp, the participants will also get opportunity to connect with the subject matter experts virtually.
Eligibility criteria:
- Indian women entrepreneurs keen to learn further on Entrepreneurship, mainly early/mid-stage Fintech start-ups
- The event will be focussed mainly on Women entrepreneurs however to maintain the diversity and inclusion pledge we’d welcome registrations from other entrepreneurs as well

It is therefore a priority sector for our exports, as well as a source of FDI and an important theme of our Prosperity Fund programme and policy collaboration on financial services.

The webinar will be held for half a day on 17 and 18 March 2021. Participation to the sessions are free but seats are limited.
