The UK & Brazil: Partners in Energy is an annual event that aims to promote and strengthen the partnership between UK and Brazil in the energy sector, through knowledge sharing, best practice and commercial exchange. It is a platform for British and Brazilian companies and government agencies to discuss the future of the energy sector, its challenges and opportunities, and to gain a deeper insight into regulatory frameworks, new technologies and solutions in areas of common interest.
This year, the UK will be launching the Prosperity Fund Brazil Energy programme to support Brazil’s low carbon energy transition. The programme will represent a cornerstone in UK-Brazil’s energy relationship, deepening and broadening the relationship further.
Eight (08) simultaneous workshops will take place in the morning and in the afternoon, with participation of speakers from the main British and Brazilian companies, research centres and governmental agencies of the energy sector. The following topics will be covered:

2. Maximising Oil Recovery / Decommissioning
3. Subsea Technologies
4. Natural Gas Market
5. Biofuels and Biogas
6. Offshore Wind
7. Solar Power
8. Electric Networks Innovation
Morning workshops
The morning workshops aim to provide an in-depth look at UK expertise and innovation in each of the following areas: Biogas & Biofuels, Subsea Technologies, Natural Gas Market and Solar Power.
In each of the morning sessions, UK and Brazilian organisations with expertise in those areas will be presenting their innovative solutions, in order to discuss the challenges and opportunities within the market.
Afternoon workshops
The afternoon workshops will also be simultaneous, covering the following topics: Offshore Wind, Electric Networks Innovation, Offshore Construction and Maintenance and Maximising Oil Recovery / Decommissioning.
Financing Opportunities for the Energy Sector
This roundtable aims to raise awareness of the Brazilian companies for the UK funding available for enegy projects. UK Export Finance (UKEF) will speak about their line of credits and guarantees for the Energy projects in Brazil.
