The Future of Law
The UK Legaltech Mission to Austria and Switzerland, organised by the Department for International Trade and Scottish Development International, is an excellent opportunity for UK Legaltech companies looking to expand their business in the Swiss and Austrian markets. This Mission will offer 10-12 UK legaltechs a programme of networking opportunities and events to present their legal technologies to potential clients.
How can I join the Mission?
10-12 UK-registered companies will be selected to join the Mission travelling to Vienna and Zürich to present their legaltech solutions to law firms in Austria and Switzerland.
Please note that these events are taking place on separate dates in November and that to go to both markets companies will have to make two trips. The marketing and application process is combined between DIT Austria and DIT/SDI Switzerland.
In order to be included in the selection process to join the Mission, please register below.
DIT/SDI will then use a panel of experts to select the companies, taking into account the preferences of potential clients who will be attending the events. You will be informed as to whether we can offer you a slot at the event – we use this method to ensure that you are not wasting your time or money.
Participation fee: £550 + VAT (both markets) or £330 for one market
Please note: registration does not guarantee attendance, as all companies will be pre-selected prior to confirmation.
Registration deadline: Monday 16th September 2019
Vienna
The Austrian event is part of Legal Tech Konferenz 2019 https://legaltech.future-law.at/, a legal tech event which is now in its third year and which attracts 350 law firms and legal counsels.
DIT Austria is purchasing a stand at the event, allowing 8-10 UK companies to present and display their services. 1-to-1 meetings will be arranged with Austrian law firms and legal counsels.
Zürich
The 2nd LegalTech Mission to Zürich being organised in partnership with the University of St Gallen’s “Fit 4 Legal Tech” programme. It will consist of keynote speeches, a pitch session by the UK legaltechs and networking with potential Swiss clients.
The expected audience will comprise 40 to 50 lawyers or managers working in complex in-house business environments, in law firms or public administrations, who are keen to learn more about how others have employed technology in legal services.
Comments from UK participants at the 2018 event:
“The perfect chance to meet with so many law firms in market and present the LPA Visirule product, was a real benefit for the company – we have as a result, already done business and we are expecting further major sales to result!” - Clive Spenser, Logic Programming Associates
“As a company with no previous experience in exporting, this event was a real 'door-opener'. We have, as a direct result of the 2018 Trade Mission, made over 10 Proof of Concept presentations and have been part of the first intake of companies for the new LegalTech Hub Accelerator Programme in Vienna, which is providing us with further opportunities. I would recommend this event to any UK LegalTech company. Don't be concerned about lack of German language skills, every lawyer I have met here speaks perfect English.” - Peter Milligan, Miso
Miso was awarded the Jury Prize on graduation from the Legal Tech Hub Vienna
