About the event

Kenya is now the 6th largest economy in Sub-Saharan Africa and home to 44 million people. It is the regional hub for trade and finance in Eastern Africa and the natural entry point to the region.

Uganda has a population of approximately 37 million people, making it the third largest consumer market in east Africa.

While both are important and promising markets, there are some challenges when doing business. Understanding the business and local cultures is very important. As with many other African societies, religion plays a very important part, shaping and forming their cultural background. There are many tribal communities where family and tradition are valued above all. Our business masterclass will help you making your visit a success.

The training will cover:

  • different business and economic environments
  • business communication and negotiation styles
  • challenges and solutions when doing business
  • understanding and overcoming common pitfalls
  • how to emphasise
  • behaviour in meetings

Who is this workshop for?

This event is funded by West Midlands Chambers of Commerce’s ERDF SME International Growth Project. In order to attend you must be an SME registered within the West Midlands.
