Breakfast with UK Technology Sector Expert, Jeffrey Peel

5 November, 2019 7:30 am to 5 November, 2019 9:00 am

Deloitte Level 17, 11 Waymouth Street 5000 Adelaide Australia

The UK Department for International Trade (DIT) and Deloitte invite you to hear from the UK Government’s Technology Advisor Jeffrey Peel – who has travelled all the way from London, UK.

Technology is in the heart of business today and underpins a wide range of sectors – from manufacturing, mobility, health, education and financial services. The UK has one of the world’s largest technology ecosystems with thousands of tech start-ups, built around a strong entrepreneurial culture. There are 30 technology clusters across the UK and is ranked fourth in the world for scale up investment behind the US, China and India.

Jeff Peel is a technology consultant and advisor for the UK government. In the last 17 years he has forged a reputation as a technology business specialist, helping to found, fund and scale tech businesses internationally. Jeff provides thought leadership support for tech firms in B2B and B2C - with a strong focus on professional services, fintech, enterprise software, machine learning, IoT, blockchain and cyber-security. He recently joined the UK Government’s Department for International Trade (one of the new Departments created after the UK ‘Brexit’ referendum in 2016) as a Technology Sector Specialist. In this role Jeff works with international technology companies expanding into the UK.

Jeff will speak on the technology ecosystem in the UK, current and emerging technology trends and the UK as a destination for Australian technology firms. The event is partnered with consulting firm Deloitte, publishers of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Australia and Deloitte Fast 500 APAC Technology reports. Don’t miss this unique opportunity!
