The Opportunity:

Contracta is currently seeking to engage suppliers for several opportunities in Ghana, including Kumasi Inernational Airport, Kumasi Market and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (more information listed on the projects tab). This event presents an opportunity to meet with representatives from the procurement teams to find out how to secure these supply contracts.

Having launched a subsidiary in 2016, Contracta Construction UK Ltd, they are able to offer sophisticated knowledge of engineering and infrastructure to partner with other companies in the UK that are looking to supply these projects.

Contracta works in the following core areas:

  • Infrastructure solutions for transport
  • Rail and road overpasses
  • Train and subway stations
  • Developing both residential and commercial buildings
  • Healthcare infrastructure
  • Education infrastructure
  • Urban design upgrades
  • Sanitation and public housing program
  • Airport and port facilities

They are looking to access the UK supply chain for categories listed on the procurement list tab.

Event Info:

UKEF’s Supplier Fair model is an ambitious programme to help increase UK content in overseas projects through high profile exporter events, working with Trade Associations and the Department for International Trade, activating the UK supply chain and allowing UKEF to provide attractive financing to the overseas buyer.

These one-day matchmaking events place relevant UK suppliers in front of international buyers, who are actively looking for British products and services for their overseas project or projects; helping the buyer make successful commercial decisions and the supplier win overseas contracts.

What you can expect at the event:

  • 1-2-1 meetings with representatives from Contracta

  • Technical and executive overview of the projects

  • Details of the procurement process for UK suppliers

  • Hear from Export Finance Managers on how UK Export Finance can help support you in your export journey

Why you should attend:

  • Strong opportunity to enter the supply chain for this project. A significant amount of UK supplies will be required as a condition of the UK government’s export finance support.
  • Build and consolidate relationships with procurement representatives from Contracta, whilst also meeting with other suppliers, officials from UK Export Finance and the Department for International Trade.
  • Support for entry into new markets: UK Export Finance’s support will mean the overall credit risk for the project will be equivalent to supplying a UK government project. UK government officials will be present to provide guidance on doing business in-market and to discuss further opportunities.

*Please note, all registrations will be subject to organisers’ review.
