The opportunity
Join UK Export Finance at this virtual Supplier Fair to explore exporting opportunities with Yinson as part of the delivery of a new floating production vessel. We will be holding the fair on Tuesday 6 October, as a virtual event.
1-2-1 meetings will be held on the 7 and 8 October, booking details will be made available two weeks before the event.
Yinson is finalising the procurement strategy for the conversion of a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) into a FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) unit for a proposed deployment to an offshore field development project in Brazil. This project is expected to commence in the second half of 2020.
Yinson is looking to increase UK Export Finance’s support for the project, and in order to do so is looking to increase its procurement of UK goods and services in its supply chain - please see the procurement list here.
What you can expect at the event:
- Technical and Executive project overview.
- Details of the procurement process for UK suppliers.
- Hear from UK Export Finance on how they can support you in your export journey with their products and services.
- 1-2-1 meetings with Yinson.
Why you should attend:
- Strong opportunity to enter the supply chain for this project. A significant amount of UK supplies will be required as a condition of the UK government’s export finance support.
- Build and consolidate relationships with procurement representatives from Yinson, whilst also meeting with officials from UK Export Finance and the Department for International Trade.
- Support for entry into new markets: UK Export Finance’s support will mean the overall credit risk for the project will be equivalent to supplying a UK government project. UK government officials will be present to provide guidance on doing business in-market and to discuss further opportunities.
