English language: skills for better living and working conditions
International event on English language teaching and learning in Brazil to present the Skills for Prosperity Programme.
Skills for Prosperity is an initiative of the British Government's Prosperity Fund, which takes place in nine countries, aiming to offer better conditions of education and employability.
The event will focus on the launch of the Observatory for English Language Teaching, a platform developed under the Skills for Prosperity Programme that aims to promote discussions on data, studies and practices in teaching and learning English in the country including its relationships with equity, diversity and inclusion.
Managers, teachers, public policy makers, decision makers, researchers and others interested in education are invited to the webinar that takes place on 02 December, starting at 4pm (BRT) / 7pm (GMT).
About the Skills for Prosperity Programme
Skills for Prosperity is carried out through a partnership between the British Government, within the scope of the Prosperity Fund, and a consortium formed by the Fundação Lemann, the Associação Nova Escola, the Instituto Reúna and the British Council. The Programme is implemented with emphasis on the public sector of five pilot states - Amapá, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Pernambuco and São Paulo. By 2023, around 8 million pounds will be invested impacting students, teachers and productive sectors from all regions of Brazil.
