About the event

Indian agricultural policy makers, research leaders and incubators will ‘virtually’ visit the UK

This initiative aims to develop policy exchange, science and innovation partnerships between both our countries that can deliver a tangible impact on climate resilience, plant productivity and reduction in agriculture’s greenhouse gas emissions. The visit programme will involve interactive sessions and facility “tours” for high-level officials, academics and representatives of agri-incubators from the three Indian states (Maharashtra, Telangana and Tamil Nadu) to leading institutions and research facilities in the UK. We plan on expanding this model and planning subsequent visits for additional interested states in India in early 2021, so here’s a real opportunity to explore a diverse array of collaboration opportunities through this engagement.

Topics Addressed:

The UK’s R&I Framework, UK Agri-Innovation Landscape: Policy for Pioneers, Climate Resilient Crops, Soil Health, Sensors and Remote Sensing, Horticulture, Digital technologies, Agri meteorology, Farm Mechanisation, Geo informatics, Nanotechnologies, Integrated Farming Systems, Processing and Value Addition, Market Resilience and Value Chains.
