Background

Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Africa, Emma Wade-Smith, would like to welcome you to the next in a business webinar series from the Department for International Trade on education and skills.

The Government of Ghana’s priorities for the education sector include enhancing teacher professional development, promoting girls’ education, expanding the reach of digital resources for teaching and learning, and strengthening competency-based skills development in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

To achieve these, there’s a continuous focus on ensuring the adequate infrastructure (physical and digital) is in place and making sure educational policy and legislation are adapted to reflect the changing priorities.

In the fifth of the webinar series there will be a discussion to enlighten UK companies about the realities of doing business in Ghana in the education sector and to highlight some of the opportunities in the sector.
