In association with OCO Global, DIT Midlands are inviting Food and Drink companies in the region to take part in this 3-step campaign, giving businesses in-depth knowledge and training around exporting into Ireland (and the EU) followed by a virtual Meet the Buyer opportunity with importers, buyers, and distributors from the Republic of Ireland.

About Ireland:

As one of Britain’s closest neighbours, and largest export partners, Ireland is a key market for Midlands Food and Drink businesses who are looking to expand globally. Much of the practical content that you will learn in this series will be transferable knowledge for exporting to the rest of the EU, but we will focus in on Ireland-specific trends, demands and opportunities with buyers in Ireland, ensuring that participants gain valuable knowledge and contacts through this programme to either start or propel you along on your exporting journey.

Topics covered in this series of events will include:

  • Doing Business in Ireland and opportunities for Food and Drink in market
  • Post-2021 customs procedures, duties, VAT, transiting via Northern Ireland, certification plus SPS measures
  • Labelling for Ireland and EU markets
  • Logistics advice and support

With specialist speakers:

  • BDO
  • Mintel
  • CertLabel
  • Experienced Midlands Exporter to IRE, Warp Snacks
  • More to be confirmed in the coming weeks

Who should attend:

  • New to export or not currently exporting but have previously
  • Companies who are exporting or selling online to Ireland and the EU but don’t feel confident with the changes that have taken place since January 2021
  • Exporters who export outside of the EU currently, but now are looking to expand their global coverage
  • Experienced exporters looking to upskill members of staff in exporting to Ireland and the EU
