Learn more about the markets attending...

Mexico:

Mexico is the leading destination for UK food & drink products in Latin America & the Caribbean – it has a rapidly growing population with disposable income which is boosting demand for premium products, convenience food and drinks. Longer working hours are fuelling demand for higher-value processed and quality food. However new brands need to have a clear USP and to be able to compete with a strong domestic market.

Brazil:

Brazil represents an excellent opportunity for UK food & drink products, with a sizeable population between 15-34 years old who are familiar with international products and a £167 billion consumer market (which accounts for 12.3% of the country’s GDP). Approximately 20,000 new products are launched in Brazil every year, with 50% at high price points. Some products need to be registered; some are subject to changing regulations or quotas in the Brazilian market.

Israel:

Israel’s appetite for internationally sourced food and drink products is strong. The current rate of the £ sterling to the Israeli shekel also makes the UK more attractive to Israeli importers. UK exporters should be aware that food and drink products being sold through the main food outlets must be kosher. However, support is available in UK for kosher certification for a reasonable price. Vegan and vegetarian food is also very popular.

Romania:

Romania is the second largest food and drink market in central and eastern Europe with 20 million consumers who spend a high percentage of their disposable income on food and beverages. The Romanian Food & Drink sector is the most dynamic segment in the market, rising every year with 7% on average. On a steady organic growth for 6 years, Food & Drink is on a positive and innovative trend, mainly due to the Romanian consumer positioning, who is increasingly more aware of the meaning of higher quality and more open to new technologies, designs and cultural factors than ever before.

Please note, this event is exclusively open to companies based within the Midlands.
