China and Hong Kong

Following the success of the recent Chartered Mission to Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore in April 2018, the Department for International Trade’s (DIT) Education Team are leading another to China and Hong Kong in April 2019, given the untapped potential for collaboration. The 7 day tour from Friday 12th to Thursday 18th April will stop off at Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Beijing. UK Delegates will be expected to arrive in Hong Kong ahead of meetings starting on the Friday morning.

The aim of the Chartered Mission next April is to enable UK Chartered bodies to develop and promote partnership accreditation links with universities, polytechnics, colleges and employers in China and Hong Kong. The mission will be promoted by the UK government, as part of its “GREAT” campaign, under the specific banner of “Knowledge is GREAT”.

DIT would like to invite any Chartered Professional Bodies who have an interest in creating partnerships across China and Hong Kong to apply to join this trade mission. In order to create a bespoke programme for the Chartered Bodies and deliver to the highest standard, organisations will need to apply to join this mission.

Our previous Chartered Mission hosted a range of CEOs, International Managers and Regional-based staff. When applying, please indicate who is likely to be representing the Body.

The mission will cost approximately £7,000 and this cost is subject to change as the programme changes.

The cost of the mission will cover venues, food and beverages, translators and internal transport where necessary. Please note, as the programme develops, costs may fluctuate. Delegates are expected to pay for their own international and domestic flights and hotels, and any necessary travel insurance.

This is a great opportunity to forge impactful partnerships and create tangible leads through a packed week of networking, pre-arranged 1-2-1 meetings, roundtables, panels and receptions.

If you have any questions in advance of applying contact Aneesa Kazi

We look forward to receiving your applications and welcoming you to the mission.

Application deadline:  5pm on Wednesday 16th January 2018
