CPTPP and UK – the potential export opportunity in AsiaPac, Australia & New Zealand
18th November 2021
10.00 - 11.00
Hosted by DIT trade experts, this event takes a deep dive into CPTPP Free Trade Agreement by looking at the AsiaPac countries, as well as Australia and New Zealand which are currently members and how UK accession could translate into trade opportunities for UK companies.
What will I learn?
On the day, you will learn more about what CPTPP is, how it interacts with other Free Trade Agreements as well as about the potential for trade opportunity, specifically focussing on those Asian countries, Australia and New Zealand which are already CPTPP free trade agreement members.
You will also gain insights and advice on the markets, hot sectors and opportunity areas for UK companies looking to grow their exports to Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand Singapore and Vietnam.
The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) announced in June 2021 that negotiations had officially begun for the UK’s accession to the group.
Who is this event for?
This event is specifically aimed at UK companies already exporting to countries in the AsiaPac region who wish to maximise sales opportunities via the CPTPP free trade agreement.
