British Beauty brands mission to India

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is delighted to announce a mission to India for the UK Beauty industry, centred around Cosmoprof India, December 2023 in Mumbai.

UK brands will have the opportunity to join DIT’s week-long trade mission to Mumbai, from 3rd to 10^th December, to tie in with Cosmoprof India

The mission is aimed at ambitious British Beauty brands looking to grow in this vibrant market. It will provide a fantastic platform to showcase your brand and/or services to potential buyers, marketplaces and distributors in the region who are looking for new and innovative brands.

India, is one of the world's fastest-growing beauty markets (+10% Y-on-Y to 2027 Euromonitor) ranking top 5 for Beauty and Personal Care globally, and worth over £15BN with UK brands seen as an attractive proposition.

S&P Global and Morgan Stanley project that India’s annual nominal GDP growth will average 6.3% through 2030 making it the third largest economy in the World, overtaking Japan and Germany.

Cosmoprof India, forms part of the global Cosmoprof brand including flagship Cosmoprof Bologna. In 2022 the India show hosted 300 exhibitors from 12 countries, and 7,500 visitors from 50 countries.

Beauty Brands are invited to apply for this opportunity. We are keen to welcome applications from a cross-sector of the industry, particularly from businesses with innovative solutions including;

• Cosmetics and skincare
• Haircare
• Bath & Body
• Men’s Grooming
• Fragrance
• Beauty Accessories
   

You must be export ready, registered on Companies House, able to demonstrate ambition and capacity to operate in India with global Ecommerce experience.

The Department will support approved British companies with a programme to include:
 

• Mission support from the retail team at the British High Commission

• Exhibitor or Visitor Access to Cosmoprof India*
   
• Tailored meeting and networking opportunities to meet major India retail and digital Beauty partners
   
• Full Market briefing with experts covering business considerations including Certification, Tariffs, IP, marketing, legal, cultural, digital, wholesale, and retail strategy.
   
• Retail site visits including key mall and beauty concept stores

Mission Fees 

Exhibitor: £750 per attendee

or

Visitor: £500 per attendee

Please note: Travel & accommodation to be covered by delegates as well as any sample shipping costs.

Spaces are limited and will be through invitation and application only.

*Exhibitors will have a pod on the DBT Stand for 2 days to showcase a capsule product offer and marketing material, Visitors will attend and walk the show.

Both Exhibitors and Visitors are able to access the Cosmoprof Match site.
