The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is delighted to announce a Retail tech trade mission to New York, USA attending NRF ‘The Big Show’
UK Tech brands for retail, digital commerce and connected retail will have the opportunity to join DBT’s trade mission to New York, from 11th to 17th January 2024 and showcase on the UK Pavilion at NRF’s The Big Show.
The mission is aimed at supporting UK companies providing retail tech, digital commerce tech and app (products and/or services) looking for growth opportunities to the USA selling to stockists and suppliers in the retail ecosystem.
The mission will provide a platform for you to showcase your brand and/or services to potential buyers, partners, enablers who are looking for new and innovative tech brands in this space.
NRF 'The Big Show' is one of the TOP retail tech shows in the USA, with over 35k visitors in 2023 from trade including the biggest tech providers such as Google, Meta and retailers that brings together more than 6,200 brand from around the globe over three days of learning, collaboration and discovery.
We have a limited number of spaces for UK companies.
To qualify
You must be export ready
Registered on Companies House
Able to demonstrate ambition and appetite to scale globally
Ideally be exporting to one market and have a £2m turnover or demonstrate ‘unicorn’ capability or potential for rapid growth to scale to £2m+ in the next couple of years.
The Department will support approved British companies with a programme including:
A full ‘education’ day with introductions to associations and relevant 3rd party partners in New York before the start of the exhibition
Exhibitor tickets and access to NRF
Access and use of the UK Pavilion at NRF including speakers and panel events with branding
Your company featured in the NRF exhibition brochure and DBT trade mission brochure
Participation to the NRF opening and exhibition party
Attendance at the UK Government residence in New York for a networking reception with C-Suite of US potential buyers and partners
Mission Fees
The commitment fee to participate is £1,000 + VAT.
This represents a substantial saving over the standard NRF tickets of £6,000 + VAT
Additional costs will include: Travel, accommodation and subsistence to be covered by delegates as well as any sample or equipment associated costs including shipping and carnets.
Spaces are limited and will be through invitation and application only.
How to attend
Applications close on Friday 22nd September at 5pm.
An initial sift will take place week commencing 25th September.
Invitations to attend will be sent out w/c 2nd October.
