With over 120 million monthly customers, Walmart Marketplace represents an incredible opportunity to grow sales in the U.S. 

The Walmart UK Roadshow will be an opportunity for ecommerce sellers from the UK to explore how they can grow their North American direct-to-consumer business through Walmart Marketplace.

Organised and hosted by the Department for Business & Trade, the Roadshow will take place from Monday 5th – Friday 9th February, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast. 

The first event of its kind by Walmart in the UK – invited brands, manufacturers and retailers will have the opportunity to meet one-to-one with the Walmart team to explore the potential for their businesses on the platform. This invitation-only event is an incredible opportunity to learn more about Walmart directly from the team, and to establish those all-important relationships that can set you up for commercial success. Each 1:1 meeting will be 45 minutes long, providing you with the opportunity to discuss in detail, your U.S. expansion plans.

To qualify for this event, you must meet the following criteria:

-    A UK company engaged in cross-border e-commerce
-    Existing business revenue of +$5 million USD (~£4million) – or you can display a strong GMV run rate to hit that threshold within the next 18 months. 
-    Willing to adopt the Walmart flywheel and use Walmart Connect (ad spend), Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) if accepted onto the platform
-    Selling in one of Walmart’s priority categories:
     o    Entertainment, Media & Gaming, Electronics
     o    Consumables (beauty, personal care, health supplements)
     o    Hardlines
     o    Apparel 
     o    Snacks
     o    Pets

What

If your application is selected, you will have a 45-minute meeting with the Walmart team. Sessions will take place between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. We will confirm your meeting time with you. Your DBT International Trade Advisor will also join the meeting and can provide any additional practical help you may need.
