Going for Growth: Opportunities for

UK Manufacturers in CPTPP Countries

Tuesday 22 October 2024, 13:00 - 16:30
University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC)

Maximise your potential for business growth in CPTPP.

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is delighted to invite UK businesses to learn more about opportunities as a result of the UK’s accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), a modern and ambitious trade deal spanning 12 economies across Asia, the Americas, and now Europe.

Following Peru’s recent ratification, the UK will soon join the CPTPP. More than 99% of current UK goods exported to CPTPP members will be tariff-free once the deal enters into force on 15 December, offering commercial opportunities for UK manufacturers exporting to potential new markets, and contributing to the government’s priority of driving economic growth across the country.
