DBT Agri-Tech Trade Mission to Saudi Arabia
19th-23rd October 2025
The UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is pleased to invite expressions of interest for an agri-tech trade mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) from 19th-23rd October 2025.
This trade mission is an exclusive opportunity for ready-to-export UK agri-tech companies to participate in a 5-day business mission to Saudi Arabia, anchored around the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition. This exhibition is the largest agriculture-focussed B2B event in the region and has been a meeting place for industry leaders for almost 40 years.
The British Embassy Riyadh, will be working with DBT and Defra on the agenda - with funding provided for exhibiting at the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition, a networking reception, and government roundtables. Trade mission delegates will have the chance to promote their business at the exhibition and meet with business contacts during bespoke B2B meetings organised for you with relevant Saudi stakeholders.
DBT strongly encourage expressions of interest from businesses that work on precision technologies within agri-tech. Precision technologies can be defined as those that champion the application in agriculture of:
- Irrigation and Water Management Technologies
- Controlled Environment Agriculture Technologies
- Robotics and Automation
- Circular Economy Technologies, including Waste Management
- Advanced Sensors
- AI and Data Systems, including Satellite Mapping Technologies
Agriculture is central to Saudi Arabia’s ‘Vision 2030’ agenda to reshape and diversify its economy. This is driven by its aim to ensure food security and place itself at the forefront of tackling land degradation and desertification, having hosted the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) COP16 in Riyadh in December 2024, the biggest UNCCD to-date. The adoption of technology is central to its efforts, and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) recently set out its priority sectors in a Technology Adoption Roadmap.
With agri-tech included in the UK's Industrial Strategy as a frontier sector, and Saudi Arabia's increasing interest to adopt technology to bolster its agriculture sector, UK Government is providing businesses with a targeted visit to Saudi Arabia to showcase their offer.
This trade mission is commercially driven, and aimed at ready-to-export companies who are serious about selling their goods and services to the Saudi Arabian market.
Places on this mission will be limited. If you fit the above criteria and would like to take part, please submit an expression of interest before our extended deadline of Friday 8th August!

Delegates will be responsible for flights, hotels, meals, and personal incidentals.
Please note that InnovateUK will run a Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) focused on Saudi Arabia in parallel to DBT’s trade mission. These missions will work together but are two separate programmes: while the GBIP mission is mainly focused on building R&D and innovation partnerships, DBT’s programme is focused on commercial outcomes and connecting you to buyers in-market. You will only be able to join one of the two delegations.
