The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in partnership with UK Interactive Entertainment (Ukie) and Game Republic is delighted to announce calls for expressions of interest to join a trade mission to the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.

Why join our trade mission to GDC?

As the leading global video games conference, GDC could be your platform to success, enabling you to strengthen your reputation within the United States and beyond. The US video games market is on track to reach $733.22bn by 2030 - the highest in the gaming industry and you could be part of it.

Attendees include developers, publishers, programmers, artists, producers, funders and major platforms and technology providers such as Microsoft, Apple, Nintendo, Sony, Google, and Meta.

Dates: Sunday 8 March – Thursday 12 March 2026
Location: San Francisco, USA

Successful applicants will benefit from a variety of activities as part of the mission, including:

Please note, some activities may be invite only or limited to one delegate per company.

Cost

A £495.00 (plus VAT) fee to join this mission, payable to Ukie, will confirm your place and give you access to all programme activities.

If successful in your application to join the mission, we can only guarantee your place once payment has been made. Participants must cover their own travel costs including flights, accommodation, GDC expo passes (if required), subsistence etc.

Eligibility Criteria

• Express your interest by 11:59pm (BST) on Friday 12 December 2025
• Your company must be based within the UK
• Places are limited and are subject to availability and eligibility

If your place on the mission has been approved and confirmed, we will be required to send your company details, name and email address to UK Interactive Entertainment (Ukie) in order for them to arrange payment with you for the £495.00 plus VAT registration fee which secures your place on the mission. Your application details will also be shared with our mission partners UK Interactive Entertainment and Game Republic to facilitate their support with the mission delivery.
