On behalf of HM Government, the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) is delivering the UK’s participation, communications and activation at Expo 2020 Dubai, co-funded by five other Government Departments, the GREAT Campaign and Devolved Administrations. Each Department’s policy objectives will be reflected and delivered within the project and the UK’s programme of events delivered through the Expo period (Oct 2021-March 2022). UK activation at such events is viewed as a global opportunity to promote the UK, our industries, capabilities, culture, history and heritage and promote tourism and perception change in legacy.
The UK’s presence at Expo 2020 Dubai will also include promoting our Overseas Territories. They are very diverse; with thousands of small islands, vast areas of ocean, but also in Antarctica, land six times the size of the UK. Cayman Islands is actively engaging in our presence throughout the six-months.
British companies are involved in the wider Expo 2020 Dubai delivery which will enhance their credentials and capability to supply and deliver to other subsequent World Events.
