DIT Sports Economy Trade Mission to the US: Leadership in Future-Proofing Fan Engagement

28 February - 4 March 2022

In person, Atlanta and Los Angeles

The UK's Department for International Trade (DIT) is now recruiting a diverse group of UK sports economy executives to participate in a week-long Trade Mission to Atlanta and Los Angeles.  Over the course of the week and in two major cities, delegates will network, present, and participate in a variety of activities and receptions with leading sports industry executives, government and corporate contacts.

The Trade Mission will focus on showcasing the best-in-class UK companies and business leaders that have excelled at fan engagement strategy and delivery across a number of creative and technological categories including: clubs, leagues, marketing agencies, immersive technologies, esports, betting, data management and analytics.

Participants will receive:

  • VIP introductions to C-suite executive leadership at sports teams, leagues, agencies, and venues.
  • Exclusive venue tours and insights from key decision-makers on vendor and partnership management.
  • Small-group discussions with senior leadership of global event host committees, city government, commissions and partners.
  • Opportunities to showcase your business and expertise to senior executives and prospective clients.
  • Exceptional networking receptions organised in your honour to facilitate relationships with local contacts.
  • Marketing promotion and media coverage.
  • Pre-mission delegation networking and market insights to prepare.
  • Life-long friendships with an exceptional cohort of UK business leaders.

The Trade Mission will accept approximately 12-20 attendees at the C-suite level of their respective companies.  Acceptance will be determined by ensuring each company has:

  • A proven track record of executing globally recognised services for sports industry clients
  • Innovative technologies and solutions in your respective category
  • Readiness for growth in the US market
  • Represents the best-in-class of UK creativity and innovation through a unique value proposition
