United Nations and Development Bank Procurement: Winning Contracts Masterclasses

Tuesday, 29 March 2022  9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Meet the experts and discover how to supply to the United Nations agencies and to the Multilateral Development Banks

Join us for a two hour series of masterclasses on:

    • United Nations Procurement: Winning Contracts Masterclass (9:30am - 10:30am)
    • Development Bank Procurement: Winning Contracts Masterclass (11:00am -12:00pm)

Why are we hosting this event?

The United Nations agencies and Multilateral Development Banks require a vast array of goods and services to achieve their strategic objectives. Procurement through these multilateral institutions may come in many forms. For example, the direct supply of goods for humanitarian assistance or low-cost loans for long-term economic development.

These supply contracts create internationally funded opportunities for UK firms to bid into and provide support to the beneficiary countries. Official Development Assistance (ODA) in 2020 was USD 161.2 billion, of which the UK provided £14.5 billion.

    What will I learn?

During the two hour series of masterclasses, DIT South West has brought together procurement experts to help business development managers understand where to find these opportunities and the best approach when engaging with these supply contracts.

These sessions will focus on the supply of goods and services to United Nations agencies and the supply of services to the London-based European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Please note that priority will be given to businesses based in the South West region.
