The British Consulate in Barcelona is delighted to invite you to a ‘UK Clinical Trials Networking Breakfast - Ask the Experts’  at 09:30am CEST on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 at the Barcelona Science Park (PCB). 

This in-person event will provide you with unique insights into the world-leading UK clinical trials ecosystem. It will be an interactive event with questions from the audience and a networking breakfast. You will get the opportunity to hear case studies and insights, as well as ask questions to experts from UK institutions and pioneering companies about access, funding, collaboration opportunities, innovations and challenges. Experts include representatives from the  UK National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR), Dr Linda Magee OBE (NHS Investment & Health Innovation Specialist) and leading companies such as NorthWest EHealth, Lindus Health and IQVIA UK. 

Topics covered will include the impact of COVID-19 on the clinical trials sector and lessons learnt from the pandemic, diversification in clinical trials (a strong point of the UK market); AI, decentralisation and remote clinical trials; in silico trials, patient recruitment, adaptive protocol designs; case studies (diabetes, liver disease, oncology, COVID-19 vaccines) and the latest innovation from the UK clinical trials ecosystem.
