The Department for International Trade (DIT) in partnership with Metro Bank invite you to join this informal overview and networking session and find out how we can support you in growing your business internationally. 

 

This event will be suitable for both product and services businesses in any sector who are interested to find out what support is on offer, or who just want to meet and network with DIT and other local businesses.

Alissia Deane
Export Finance Manager, UK Export Finance

Alissia Deane is an Export Finance Manager, for UK Export Finance, the world’s first Export Credit Agency. We advance prosperity by ensuring no viable UK export fails for lack of finance or insurance, doing that sustainably and at no net cost to the taxpayer. Prior to joining UKEF in December 2021, Alissia has spent over 15 years in banking and finance, including various roles at Yorkshire Bank, Shawbrook Bank and Mercia Asset Management. Alissia has extensive experience helping SME and Corporate businesses with funding and supporting them on their growth journey. With her wealth of experience, Alissia is now the Export Finance Manager for West Yorkshire helping businesses to export, trade safely, and get paid.


Fraser Anderson
Local Director, Metro Bank

Fraser joined Metro Bank in January 2021 as Bradford Metro Bank’s Local Director. Fraser has worked within the banking industry for over 17 years and has extensive experience working with local businesses. He works with SMEs across Bradford and the wider West Yorkshire area to support growth, transactional banking and lending.


 

Lizzie Jowett
Local Business Manager, Metro Bank

Lizzie joined Metro Bank in March 2021 as Bradford Metro Bank’s Local Business Manager. Lizzie has worked within the banking industry for over 14 years and has extensive experience working with local businesses. She works with SMEs across Bradford and the wider West Yorkshire area to support growth, transactional banking and lending.

Munir Mamujee MBE
Managing Director, m2r Education

Munir Mamujee MBE is the Managing Director of m2r Education, a multi award winning, international education services company based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Along with being awarded an MBE in the 2022 Queen’s New Year Honours List for Services to Education and Export, Munir is also current Department for International Trade Export Champion and has built strong ties with educational organisations in over 40 countries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Munir successfully transformed his business from an international teacher recruitment company, to a supplier of online and offline educational services, including tutoring, training and digital language courses.


 

Steve Garcia
International Trade Adviser Team Manager, Department for International Trade

The Department for International Trade (DIT) has overall responsibility for promoting UK trade across the world and attracting foreign investment to our economy. We are a specialised government body with responsibility for negotiating international trade policy, supporting businesses, as well as delivering an outward-looking trade diplomacy strategy.
