About the event

The impact of COVID has seen changes to Sri Lanka’s development ambitions and trade opportunities.  Make use of this webinar to learn how to leverage the opportunities to grow your business not just in Sri Lanka, but as a gateway to the whole of Asia.

Sri Lanka is focusing on an infrastructure and domestic production led post-COVID recovery strategy.  Additionally, for UK companies looking to invest and expand their business overseas, the Sri Lankan government is keen to promote setting up financial and professional services, ICT/tech development, and manufacturing opportunities across sectors including electrical/electronics, smart apparel, pharmaceuticals, etc.

It’s important to understand how to trade in this new landscape. What makes Sri Lanka attractive? What are the key projects for which UK companies could export products or expertise? What kind of investment opportunities and incentives are available in Sri Lanka? And what makes it a strategic location to act as a regional hub into wider Asian markets? Gain insight into all these aspects from a line-up of speakers including the British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan High Commissioner in London, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Colombo Port City and the Hambantota International Port Group. Additionally, hear the success stories of De La Rue PLC and the London Stock Exchange Group and how their Sri Lanka sites play a strategic role in their global operations. There is also an option to arrange B2B meetings with members of the DIT Sri Lanka team.
