COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout Seminar
A knowledge exchange session between the UK and Latin America and the Caribbean
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for International Trade (DIT) invites you to a seminar on COVID-19 vaccine deployment. The seminar is supported by the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) and the National Health Service (NHS). The British Embassies in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and South Africa have set up two knowledge exchange sessions between the UK and Latin America and the Caribbean (LATAC) region.
International co-operation is essential in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and for progress towards the development and rollout of safe, effective, and efficient vaccination programmes as the fastest route to national and global recovery from the current crisis. The seminar will feature key public health experts from across the UK health system, as well as representatives from the LATAC region.
The seminar will provide insights into the experiences of vaccine roll-out in the UK and LATAC region, covering lessons learned from vaccine deployment strategies, cross-government coordination, approaches to surveillance, and more. It will be an opportunity to promote knowledge exchange, opening up opportunities for engagement with key players dealing with their national vaccine rollout processes.
