OUR PROGRAM
As part of Future of Transport Week, DIT will provide:
- A tailored, VIP programme for five full days (more details provided upon acceptance)
- Bespoke introduction to the US market from the DIT team in North America
- Introductions and direct match-making support with cities, state agencies, VC Scouts, and OEMs
- Access to CoMotion LA and Automobility at the LA Auto Show, two of the US' major mobility and automotive tradeshows
- Opportunity to pitch your company to the Autotech Council's membership of Silicon Valley OEMs, VC Firms, and Innovation Scouts on November 4th
- Access to various networking events, including CoMotion's official VIP Reception
- Inclusion in UK branding, marketing, and social media activities
- Company spotlight at CoMotion LA
- 1:1 support from DIT's market experts across wider US including Midwest and Southeast
This mission's activities will take place beginning with a virtual pitch session on Thursday, November 4th and in-person in Los Angeles from Monday, November 15th through Friday, November 19th. Delegates should arrive in Los Angeles by the evening of the preceding; Sunday, November 14th. Delegates who choose to arrive early are welcome to attend optional acitvities taking place on Sunday, including the BritWeek E-Rally and Awards Luncheon in Beverly Hills.
The UK's Department for International Trade has worked diligiently to subsidize a large portion of the cost for this mission, however successful applicants will be required to contribute £495 + VAT at the time of acceptance to secure their committment. Delegates will be responsible for the costs of flights to Los Angeles, accomodations, meals, and any logistical costs not explicity stated. The UK's Department for International Trade will cover the costs of all local program-related travel, and any programme activities.
*International Travel Notice:
In light of the ongoing pandemic situation, DIT will closely monitor the conditions around international travel and the entry requirements to the United States. In the event that the Presidential Proclamation on the Suspension of Entry (DOI: Jan. 25, 2021) is not rescinded by 21 September 2021, this mission will transition into a virtual format. Successful delegates are advised to avoid making travel arrangements until after this date, or until the proclamation has been suspended. DIT cannot be held responsible for non-refundable travel and accommodation costs. Please note: in the event the programme is held virtually, the cost to participate will be reduced to £275 + VAT.
