Finews
I’m a journalist specialized in finance. I began at Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal in 2002, where I spent nine years before I became the chief correspondent for Thomson Reuters in Zurich. I’ve spent the past nearly four years with finews, an online financial media outlet. My speciality areas are banking, white-collar crime and corruption cases like 1MDB, business and the economy, and politics. I’ve been a journalist for most of my professional career, with several stints in the corporate world in insurance and in medtech. I was educated in the US (Grand Valley State University) as well as in Switzerland (University of Fribourg) and graduated with a degree in journalism from the latter. Technology changes hitting the financial services industry are currently what interests me the most!
