Svenja Dahlmann, Head of Trade for the Department for Business and Trade in Ireland

Svenja Dahlmann is the Head of Trade for the Department for Business and Trade in Ireland and has been working at the British Embassy in Dublin since 2017. Having previously worked for Enterprise Ireland, the Irish equivalent of DBT, in Germany amongst other roles, Svenja has a wealth of experience working with client companies and supporting them in accessing new overseas export opportunities and markets.

Overall the DBT Ireland team look after a wide range of company and sector inquiries but specifically focus on four key sectors that showcase the commercial opportunities available in market for UK companies with innovative, and high quality products and services. The four key sectors supported are construction and infrastructure, offshore wind, life sciences, and agritech. Besides leading the trade team, Svenja specifically covers the offshore and renewable sector, providing clients with up-to-date market information, as well as networking and event opportunities.

Tiffany Solender, the Nothern Powerhouse Clean Energy Lead at the Department for Business and Trade, has been involved in the energy industry since 2018 with expertise in aiding client companies to expand into international markets. Her role involves identifying export opportunities and assisting in navigating trade barriers, showcasing her deep understanding of the global energy landscape.
