BETT Asia 2022
11 - 12 October 2022

The Department for International Trade (DIT), in partnership with BESA, are offering UK education technology companies the opportunity to apply for pods that will be located on our UK pavilion in a prime location at BETT Asia.

Located in Thailand, a major hub for the wider region, the BETT Asia show consistently attracts senior officials and buyers from Southeast Asia, and beyond, and is one of the most important senior education gatherings in the region. Following Bett Asia 2019, DIT has already facilitated a significant number of education export wins for UK providers who participated in the show. With over 2,000 education leaders, educators and innovators from more than 40 countries, as well as attendance from government officials, education leaders and brands at the forefront of educational transformation, Bett Asia is the ideal location for exclusive networking opportunities.

DIT will be hosting a UK pavilion at this world-renowned show and is offering a limited number of exhibitor packages for UK companies designed to create an opportunity for exposure among key decision-makers in the national, and international education sector. The DIT UK pavilion at Bett Asia 2022 will be the centre point for all UK government departments during the show, making it the perfect setting to create future partnerships, drive exports and meet investors

Event: UK – UK-Kuwait Cyber Security Education & Research Conference (CERC2022)

The British Embassy in Kuwait and the UK Science & Innovation Network, in partnership with Kuwait’s Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), Kuwait University, Kuwait College of Science & Technology, and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, announce the fourth annual UK-Kuwait Cyber Security Education and Research Conference, CERC2022.

This year’s event will be hosted in KCST and is scheduled for the 25th – 26th of October 2022.

The theme for this year’s conference is Cyber-resilient technologies. Areas of focus will include:

Securing Critical Infrastructure
Cybersecurity Integration in Curriculums
Cloud Security and Compliance
Blockchain and Cryptocurrency
New Research for Cybersecurity in Emerging Technologies

The conference will incorporate government-to-government engagement, along with participation from industry and research sectors. The format for the conference will be set around a series of keynote talks, presentations and panel discussions from key UK and Kuwaiti stakeholders.

The UK Government wishes to encourage UK researchers and industry sector leads to attend. Those wishing to present during the conference will be asked to submit a research abstract/presentation proposal and short bio.

The deadline for applications to present at CERC2022 is 31st August 2022.

Event: Opportunity to be part of UK-China TVET Joint Working Sub-Groups

A great opportunity to create TVET partnerships and to grow your skills activity in China.

UK Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) providers, who deliver high quality skills and apprenticeships in green and future facing industry sectors, are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to be part of these new TVET Joint Sub-Working Groups with Chinese counterparts of similar characteristics and promote UK-China TVET collaboration.

This call for interest invites Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) skills providers to express interest in joining the UK-China TVET Joint Sub-Working Groups.

UK TVET training providers can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) individually or as a consortium.
