About the Summer School...
We are inviting colleges and sixth forms to apply for a unique and exciting opportunity for their students to participate in the International Trade Summer School 2019. This varied learning programme is a fantastic opportunity for students aged 16-18 to learn new skills, whilst hearing from business leaders, gaining international insights from successful exporters and competing in our National Competition. The experience will support young people in considering their future and preparing them for the world of work. It is also a great opportunity to spend time gaining experience outside of the classroom and alongside other students.
Students will:
- Build skills, confidence and knowledge in international trade
- Experience a new and inspiring venue outside of the classroom
- Receive an e-learning package in preparation of the event
- Hear from senior leaders in business and compete against other colleges and sixth forms
- Winning teams will be invited to London for an exciting prize day experience
- Teachers must accompany the team of 5 students on the day
- All colleges will be notified of the outcome of applications on Monday 10th June
A unique opportunity to...
Work with and learn from senior leaders in business and trade
All students will receive a bite-size programme of e-learning that will introduce them to key concepts in international trade and exporting. Your team will be invited to attend one of our one-day regional events, where they will hear from expert speakers and work alongside senior business leaders to undertake a series of international trade themed challenges.
Compete in our National Competition
Bring a team of 5 of your most engaged and committed students to represent your college/sixth form in our national competition, they can but they don't have to study business- it's a passion to learn and an entrepreneurial flare that is important!
